Autumn, I LOVE Autumn! Why, you ask? Well there are so many reasons.....The first thing that comes to mind are the amazing and rich colours; it is as if Mother Nature is saying "don't be sad that Summer is over, and don't be afraid of what (Winter) comes next" Lol With the beauty of those changing colours, and that crunch underfoot of fallen leaves, it always brings a sense of calm that life will slow down a bit and it is time to re-connect. Think dining room, conversation areas, meditation spots, or hideaways to read and/or take a nap! By having different "rooms" within these outdoor areas it make the overall area seem larger since it creates a variety of destinations and interesting perspectives to look at from different places. Whatever rooms or themes you to decide to design; you will definitely enjoy a...

Black Currant Jam Recipe - Hello Summer!

With so much fresh local produce it is hard not to be excited and inspired to create something new daily in the kitchen....this week it is all about preserving as much of that Summer goodness as possible. Black Currants are one of my favourite berries so I picked up a basket of them (14 cups worth :() and made this delicious jam from a recipe my Mum has used "forever". Black Currants are a lot of work to top and tail/clean, but are SO worth the reward! (FYI I used the remaining 8 cups of Black Currants to make my own...
